Chernobyl, Ukraine
Recently I've been really looking to find somewhere abandoned to snoop around in. People call it "urban exploration," but that sounds lame.
Visiting Chernobyl would be ridiculous. Putting it high on my list of "want to visits."
The ole geiger counter in hand taking a silly amount of pictures trying not to pee my pants.
Pretty sure you need to have an official guide with you when you visit. That probably costs several hundred dollars, but good luck going without a guide if you aren't a nuclear physicist. And the guides probably aren't like the guides you'd get at Yellowstone Park so they wouldn't bother me.

The pictures you get from creepy places like this are pretty sweet.
The ferris wheel is pretty iconic I think at this point.
The town is Prypiat, not Chernobyl, but everyone knows it as Chernobyl so whatever.
