Sidewalk Closed
Umass Amherst on March 25, 2009 at 1:35 pmI thought this was odd, they were doing some sort of work on a 200 yard stretch of sidewalk near Sylvan. I guess they needed a cop detail to make sure none of the rowdy college kids did something crazy.
I can't imagine how often they get to use that sign, but it or just the barrier would have been enough.
The cop was out of this shot, I guess he stepped behind the truck for a second, so I have added a lifelike representation of him for reference.
