Adventures in Domaining
The Interwebs on December 10, 2008 at 6:13 amI didn't get out of bed until 5pm today, but turns out that was perfect timing.
I checked my inbox and there was an email from GoDaddy for authorization to transfer a domain that I did not request. So this catches my attention. Then the email is deleted soon there after by not-me.
Some asshole is trying to steal one of my domains while I'm sitting there watching.
I've had my share of unsavory encounters on the internet…
- Websites defaced by Arabs (screen)
- Scamming Nigerians
- Sometimes I rub elbows with the people responsible for most of the spam in your inbox
- Offered 20,000 stolen cc numbers (and 50% of the profit from charging them)
- Etc,
It happens when you do business online.
But, no one has come as close to stealing from me as this guy has.
I changed the account info and declined the transfer just in time.
Then I sent the guy an email telling him to fuck off.
His email is mosesfrancis7@yahoo.com
His IP is 114.121.41.193
He is from Indonesia, or currently in Indonesia because his address was Malaysia when he tried to steal from this bloke.

And I know he read the email from me telling him to fuck off because I got his IP from when he logged into my email and it traces back to Indonesia and my statistics show a visitor from Malang, Indonesia to this site. The email I told him to fuck off from was @globetraveling.com
I called GoDaddy support for kicks. Maybe they can further monitor my account or take action on domains recently changed to that email, but the support guy's advice was to contact the person and inform them the domain was not open for transfer unless they were offering millions. As if Moses Francis was interested in buying it…
Check-minus support man, check minus.
The comment on this photo amuses me. I brought comments back to this website for a minute, as in 60 seconds not the way kids are using it now a days, but deleted them again.
It would be cool to have comments on the site, but I can't get them to fit in with the design and I really like how the site looks right now.
So the comment system continues to be email, for now.
